Cleveland.com: Brandt Evans' Pura Vida, Sam McNulty's Market Garden among new Cleveland restaurants to make the scene in coming weeks

Cleveland chefs are sowing seeds for a promising crop of new restaurants. Over the last couple of weeks I've spent several hours prowling through construction sites, and let me tell you: The weeks ahead promise a whole lot of exciting developments on the local dining scene. Here's a quick preview:

Pura Vida popular chef Brandt Evans' latest place, will be first to open -- early next month, right on Public Square in downtown Cleveland. The 100-seat restaurant, plus 30 patio seats, looks out onto the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. Evans will initially focus on breakfast and lunch, with casual dinner service to come a few weeks later.
